Statement of Faith

Love Never Fails International Church believes:

The Holy Bible referred to as the scriptures, comprised of both the Old and New Testaments, is the infallible Word of God and the final authority for Christian faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).

The scriptures were written by Holy men of faith as they were inspired or moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21).

There is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith and one baptism, one God and Father of all who is above all, through all and in all (Ephesians 4:4-6).

The Trinity or the Godhead - There is only one true and living God revealed in three distinct persons working in complete harmony; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7) The Father is the greatest  (John 14:28).  The Father created all things by the spoken word (Jesus - Genesis 1:1-3) by the breath of his mouth (Holy Spirit -Psalm 33:6). The Son, Jesus Christ is the word made flesh (Logos) in whom dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).  Jesus was with the Father in the beginning (John 1:1, 14).  The Holy Spirit is the eternal Spirit of Truth that proceeds from the Father and the Son (John 15: 26).

Man was created in the image and likeness of God - blessed to be fruitful, to dominate; replenish and subdue the earth. (Genesis 1:26-28).

The Fall of Man - Before the fall, man was in perfect harmony with God (Genesis 2:19). Because of Adam's disobedience to God sin came into the world (Genesis 3:1-24) and resulted in the fall of all humanity from the grace of God.  Man was separated from God and became cursed.(Romans 3:23 and Romans 3:10)

Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (sin and its effects sickness; confusion of mind, poverty, etc.) (1 John 3:8).  Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Jesus Christ died for our sins; was buried and rose again according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).  Jesus Christ sacrificed his life to redeem (or
purchase back) humanity to his original position with God.  It was through the shedding of Jesus’ precious blood that humanity is reconciled back to God from the curse to the blessing.  (John 3:16-17)

Salvation is God’s gift to man - Man is not saved by works that he has done but by grace through faith in Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8)

The New Birth and Eternal Life - Man must be born again (John 3:3-5) or saved in order to obtain eternal life.  Man's first step toward salvation is to be sorry for his sin, to repent and to turn from sin– “godly sorrow worketh repentance” (2 Corinthians 7: 10)

Water Baptism is by immersion in water - It is for believers, only, and is a direct commandment of our Lord.  Water Baptism is a symbol of the believer's identification with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection (Colossians 2:12, Matthew.28:19; Romans.6:4;; Acts 8:36-39).

Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire - is a gift from God to the believer after being born again.  This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4, Matthew 3:11, John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8, Acts 19:1-6)

Sanctification / Holiness - The Doctrine of Sanctification is a progressive work of grace beginning at the time of regeneration (rebirth) and continuing until the consummation of salvation.  Without holiness no man shall see the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Corinthians. 1:30)

Divine Healing - Healing is for the sick and is accomplished by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands.  Healing is for every believer provided for in the atonement of Christ (Isaiah 53:4-5, Mark 16:18; James 5:14-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Isaia

Resurrection of the Just (Rapture) and the Return of our Lord - The angels said, “This same Jesus shall so come in like manner.” His coming is imminent. The Bible declares that when Jesus returns the dead in Christ will rise first, then we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (Acts 1:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). After the tribulation period, Jesus will return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, together with His saints, who will be kings and priests, He will reign a thousand years (Revelation 20:6)

Hell and Eternal Retribution - The person who dies, in sin, without having accepted Jesus Christ as Savior is hopelessly lost forever.  After death that person will not be able to hear the Gospel and repent.  They will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire.  The terms forever, eternal and everlasting denote the duration of punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 19:20)

The believer, in contrast, will enjoy eternal joy and bliss in the presence of God (Hebrews 9:15).
